Edmonton Unlimited has selected a home.

Located at 10107 Jasper Avenue, in the heart of Edmonton’s downtown, this vibrant new space will convene Edmonton’s diverse and growing innovation communities, contribute to the innovation identity of our city, and showcase Edmonton’s innovators as engines for tackling global challenges.

Representing the next step in Edmonton Unlimited’s journey, the new space will be home to our operations and programming across all stages of growth. This new location represents a dedicated space for the startup community, innovators of all stripes, world-class accelerators generously funded by the City, and so much more!

Built with accessible and sustainable practices, the 18,000+ square foot, loft-style space with natural light and awe-inspiring windows will provide ample space for innovation to thrive with art installations and flexible spaces, including collaboration spaces, 100-seat programming room, pitch space, and industry innovation labs.

For many years, our city’s pioneers, startups, and entrepreneurs have continued to put this city on the innovation map, and the world is taking notice. Edmonton was recently named North America’s fastest-growing tech sector, a sector valued at nearly $500M, and a city where the average series A investment is $4.2M, compared to $2.7M globally. This new space offers up a permanent and vibrant launchpad for continued growth.

Here are a few things you should know about this next step in an incredible journey of growth and opportunity in Edmonton.


Since launching operations in December 2020, Edmonton Unlimited has not had a physical location, and staff has mainly been working from home. This innovation destination is the first home of Edmonton Unlimited and will play a key role in downtown revitalization and urban placemaking.


With the launch of Edmonton Unlimited, Startup Edmonton’s current lease expiring at the Mercer Warehouse, the recent expansion of Scaleup and Accelerate programming and fund, the timing was right to consider other spaces that would accommodate Edmonton’s diverse and growing innovation communities.


This unanimous Board decision resulted from a thorough five-month process. Edmonton Unlimited engaged CBRE to issue a formal Request for Proposal (RFP) and received proposals from three available downtown buildings.


More than 200 stakeholders were invited to provide feedback and helped Edmonton Unlimited to determine the type of space needed for sustainable and accessible innovation leadership. The Melcor-owned building was selected for its location, shared vision, and potential.


Occupancy is planned for Spring 2023, and Edmonton Unlimited's team will continue mainly working from home as they have done since the organization’s inception in 2020.
