DevCon is back!
For almost 10 years, DevCon has helped computer science students kick off the school year by bringing them together to learn from developers, founders, researchers, and industry leaders.
This year’s theme is Beyond the Classroom.
In a tech landscape shaped by AI, deep tech, research, and new developer workflows, DevCon 2026 will help students explore what to learn, build, and do next.
Throughout the day, you’ll hear firsthand from developers, founders, researchers, and tech leaders, explore the latest trends, tools, and ideas shaping tech today, get resume and LinkedIn feedback, join focused breakout sessions, and discover opportunities to get involved in Edmonton’s tech community.
The day will feature a keynote on what makes developers valuable when AI can help write code, breakout sessions on hiring and developer practice, practical resume and LinkedIn support, project demos, career panels, and mentorship circles with speakers and ecosystem leaders.
