Your Opportunity:
We are currently look for a detail-oriented and analytical Venture Investment Analyst to join our Venture & Community team. In this essential role, you will manage the intake and evaluation of applications for our venture programs, including Experts on Demand and partner-driven accelerators. Reporting to the VP of Venture and Community, your expertise in synthesizing complex information will be crucial in guiding investment decisions and supporting the broader objectives of our team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Venture Champion: You play a critical role in venture development programming, ensuring smooth intake and evaluation of applications for our venture programs, Experts on Demand program, and other partner-driven accelerators.
- Detail-Oriented Analyst: Your organizational skills and attention to detail enable you to synthesize key information effectively for investment decision-making.
What You’ll Do:
- Application Management: Oversee the intake process for all applications to our venture programs, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking.
- Expert Coordination: Manage the Experts on Demand program, including expert recruitment, scheduling, and feedback collection.
- Evaluation & Due Diligence: Develop comprehensive evaluation memos for screening panels and conduct research to support due diligence efforts.
- Investment Agreement Handling: Ensure all compliance checks and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
- Portfolio Tracking: Build and maintain financial models to monitor portfolio performance and provide insights on valuation trends and growth indicators.
- Strategic Alignment: Work closely with the venture and community teams to support participant needs and program objectives.
- Investment Analysis & Communication: Develop and defend investment thesis based on thorough research and unbiased due diligence, while presenting data-backed recommendations to stakeholders to inform strategic decisions.
Top Priorities for the First Year:
As our Venture Investment Analyst, you’ll drive measurable outcomes that contribute to venture success. Key priorities will include:
- Research and Evaluation: Evaluate startups, analyzing market opportunities, team capabilities, and growth potential.
- Developing Evaluation Framework: Create standardized, sector-specific criteria to streamline decision-making processes across various venture programs.
- Producing Market Research Reports: Explore emerging technology trends to inform investment strategies and identify new opportunities.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in venture capital, startup ecosystem, or related.
- Analytic Expert: You possess strong analytical skills, enabling you to assess complex business models and interpret market trends effectively.
- Effective Communicator: Your excellent communication abilities allow you to convey insights clearly and collaborate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.
- Tech Savy: Proficiency in CRM systems and data management tools equips you to handle customer relationships and data-driven decision-making efficiently.
