Your Opportunity: 

We are seeking a Full-Time, Permanent IT Systems Specialist to join our team at Edmonton Unlimited,  reporting to the VP, Data & Infrastructure. In this role, you’ll deliver on EU’s technology strategy while  managing day to day IT operations. You’ll be the go to expert for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and  digital solutions ensuring our systems are secure, efficient, and ready to scale.   • Security-Minded Innovator: You proactively enforce IT and cybersecurity policies while looking  for ways to improve systems, processes, and user experience. 
  • Financial Champion: You bring sharp budget management skills, negotiating with vendors and  optimizing resources for maximum impact. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • IT Strategy: Drive the execution of technology strategy and manage major IT projects from  concept to completion. 
  • Manage Day-to-Day IT Operations: Oversee infrastructure, integrations, procurement, lifecycle  management, and disaster recovery plans. 
  • Provide User Support & Training: Act as the primary contact for IT support, manage user  access, and deliver staff training programs. 
  • Ensure Policy & Security Compliance: Maintain and enforce IT and cybersecurity policies,  updating them regularly to reflect evolving needs. 
  • Optimize Vendor Partnerships: Build and manage relationships with vendors, negotiate  contracts, and assess performance for best results.
  • Champion Innovation: Develop KPIs, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives that  drive efficiency and future-proof our IT systems. 

What You Bring to the Role: 

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Experience: 2–3 years in IT specialist or leadership roles, with demonstrated project management  experience. 
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems integration, cybersecurity, and AI.  Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft Office, Business Central, Google Workspace, Airtable, Slack,  Adobe, Asana, Circle, Zapier/Make, Skedda, and PowerBI/Tableau. Working knowledge of  database architecture and APIs/webhooks
  • Financial Acumen: Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and identify cost saving opportunities. 
  • Communication Skills: Excellent ability to translate technical language into clear, business focused insights.
