About Ted Yoo

Ted Yoo is a registered patent and trademark agent in both Canada and the United States. With a BSc in Microbiology and Chemistry and an LLB from the University of Alberta, he brings deep scientific expertise and practical legal insight to his practice.

His work focuses on intellectual property strategy, patent prosecution, licensing, freedom-to-operate opinions, and IP due diligence for financings and M&A. Ted has extensive experience advising clients in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, nanotechnology, and advanced materials. He is actively engaged in Edmonton’s life sciences ecosystem through BioAlberta and the Alberta Health Industry Association (AHIA), and he has been recognized in prestigious rankings including IAM Global Leaders and Lexpert.

Session Format

Each 30-minute slot is a concise, high-impact discussion. To maximize value in the short time available, we recommend selecting one primary topic (or a specific question within it) in advance. Ted will offer tailored, actionable coaching and guidance with Canadian and cross-border (including U.S.) perspectives in mind.
