STARTUP PROGRAM PARTICIPANT
EndoDiagnosis was co-founded by serial entrepreneurs Carolyn Plican and Maria Procellato, two trained practitioners with extensive backgrounds in healthcare. EndoDiagnosis is revolutionizing the way endometriosis is detected and managed, bringing to Canada Endosure, the first Health Canada-approved non-invasive diagnostic test for endometriosis.
Endosure works in under an hour, is 99.87% accurate, and uses small adhesive pads on the abdomen — much like an electrocardiogram — to listen for electrical signals from intestinal muscles affected by endometriosis.
Although Endodiagnosis is self-funded for now, Carolyn and Maria credit their success to their experience as serial entrepreneurs and the support they’ve received from Edmonton Unlimited. From entrepreneurial programming to the collaborative environment, they appreciate having a space where they can connect with others and continue the conversation around women’s health.
I’ve taken a few of Edmonton Unlimited's programs in the past, and they've been incredibly helpful. The ecosystem in Alberta is all about connections, and I’m hoping to get as much support from Edmonton Unlimited as possible to move this forward.

2025 is shaping up to be a pivotal year. In addition to working towards FDA approval in the United States, they are also preparing to expand into European markets. Their goal is clear — to make Endosure accessible to as many women as possible, while also educating healthcare providers and the public on the importance of early diagnosis and treatment for endometriosis.
